Ok, who skipped it quick intro. Royal Caribbean introduced RoyalUp℠: stateroom Upgrade Program a few months ago.
A few weeks after the final payment you may receive The RoyalUp℠ offer.
You can bid on upgrade for unsold staterooms or suites. Offer may be from $50 per person for next category or a few thousands of dollars for the most expensive suite.
Please pay attention: offers are based on two occupants per stateroom - only the first and second guest will be charged.
What kinds of offers my clients received?
Clients in my agency Aurora Cruises and Travel received the following email.
"You are confirmed for a sailing onboard XXXXXX of the Seas® with reservation number XXXXXX, and we’re very excited to welcome you onboard.
Great news! We also want to invite you to participate in our RoyalUp program, where you can bid on an upgraded stateroom for your sailing.
This exclusive offer does not guarantee an upgrade.
Upgrades are limited and subject to availability up to the day of sailing.
If you booked your cruise through a travel advisor, you can contact them directly for guidance or upgrade assistance."
So, Royal Caribbean recommends using a travel advisor in this situation.
For some people it is too late: they book somewhere else and surf the Internet for assistance.
Google will help! Really?
Think twice about this before you give your business to somebody who doesn't have an expertise and experience.

- Re-price your stateroom through Guarantee Stateroom. This is very important to know available inventory.
Very often booking system doesn’t show the whole inventory that is available.
It shows a few staterooms to choose from.
